History: Abolgians defeat the Ualmordian Dominion, ushering in an era of peace and prosperity under the reign of King Charles I, or the Liberator. King Charles moves the Abolgian capital from Balthas (their ancestral homeland) to Vallia (where the Ualmordian Dominion ruled). Through renewed interest in the Bylazstibian Empire they, the Abolgians, bring about a "Golden Age" in Oaren under the rule of his successor, King Charles II, or the Golden. The Bylazstibian Empire rebuilds the great communities of ancient Oaren and the cities they once occupied, they watch over Oaren as stewards, aiding the Abolgian advancements.
All of the realm of Oaren is united under the Abolgian banner during the reign of the grandson, King Charles III, the Unifier. At the end of his reign King Charles III was slain, along with his son who was set to take the throne, the royal family, and most of the noble and aristocratic families located in the Capital City of Vallia all perished in the same night. The Abolgians that survived withdrew to Balthas. A year of silence and solitude by the remaining Abolgian lords that survived the conflaguration in the Capital City. Then, renewed hope, an heir was found stowed away and hidden from the public. In secret he was brought up as a "Little Prince" and given a noble's education. This little prince was renamed and styled King Charles IV, and hailed as a new hope for the fallen dynasty. Loyalists and monarchists rallied with the Abolgians in Balthas, they work together to take back Vallia and the Realm of Oaren for the glory and greatness of the Abolgian Dynasty.

The Enetani once counted themselves a noble house of the Abolgian Dynasty, but they trace their lineage and prestige to a time before the Abolgian Dynasty, before the Ualmordian Dominion, and even before the arrival of the Bylazstibian Empire. They count themselves among the other ancient clan and tribal peoples, some of which remain in name or some form or another. At the time of Charles the Third, the Enetani house known for being the most valiant and glorious, with many family members serving even in the kings personal retinue. When the royal family was massacred there were a few rumors that it were the Ylmara, but the remainder of the rumors were that the noble and ancient Enetani finally had enough and attempted to seize the throne themselves. Many claimed that Lord Sergio Enetani, the Red Knight of Oaren had slain the king himself, and that his brother Count Giorgio had started the very conflagration that engulfed the Capital and killed thousands.

Yet during the period of chaos shortly after the fires and bloodshed the Enetani seemed to adopt a stoic seemingly peaceful manner, they returned to their lands in Talas, and watched as the realm ate itself. With the Ylmara suddenly seizing the North Western shore and announcing Dridia as their capital, the Teperosi forming a council and finding a King Elect, and the Abolgians claiming a found heir to the throne, the Enetani sat and waited. Five years of war passed, and soon the Abolgians and the Ylmara both sought the aid of the Enetani who quietly controlled the south-east. As if overnight each of these three-kingdoms who sought aid saw the banners of the Enetani on the borders of their territories, thousands and thousands of Begastrian horse riders, Enetani Lancers, and mercenary cavalry from Almeriah and Uroxania. The raids and ransacking of Oaren increased, no longer by raiders and marauders of nameless warbands, but full fledged hordes of Enetani horsemen. For another five years the realm of Oaren suffered a state of constant warfare as the Enetani carved their own Kingdom.

The strife and warfare caused in the Realm of Oaren by the massacre of the royal family affected everyone, but mostly the pain and loss fell onto the shoulders of the common people. Aristocrats and nobility found themselves behind sturdy walls and doors, as raiders and pillagers ransacked the land. Small warbands of militia and makeshift fighting men and women resisted these new troubles, soon small pockets of these bands met with one another, and a council of common citizens was formed in an attempt to come up with a plan to end the suffering and violence.

When the local lord leader of Cerdayla, Lord Manuel of Serran, caught wind of this council of commoners he set out to dispatch them, and restore his power over the city. Lord Manuel encircled the city and began an attack, slaughtering any who stood in his way, but in the city center he met the combined warbands of the South. His retinue was routed, and many of his men were slain. He never recovered his prestigue, and Serran where he ruled was overtaken in his absence, he was never seen in these lands which would soon become known as "The land of the Teperosi" and eventually "The Kingdom of Teperos".

The warband leaders the council noticed one particularly effective fighter, his name was Roberto of Suel, son of a carpenter and himself a carpenter by trade, Roberto soon found himself as the leading commander of these Southern warbands. Lord by lord the south was cleansed of its nobility, and the aristocracy fled with them. These land-lost nobles found themselves at the gates of the Ylmara and the Enetani, or otherwise cowed in the Imperial holdouts across Oaren. Teperosi councils began appearing in all of these liberated territories, and a grand council was formed in Cerdayla, the chosen capital for a new Kingdom, the Kingdom of Teperos. The grandcouncil of Teperos elevated Roberto of Suel to the status of King Elect with the intent of seeing the remainder of the nobility purged from Oaren.

The other Kingdoms of Oaren find the Teperosi to be little more than raiders and rabble, they have little interest in ally-ship with common people, and find the idea of a King-Elect by council to be against the ways of the past and a direct threat to their livelihood. While the nobility detest them and the aristocracy fear them, many if not all of the common folk seem to be drawn into supporting the Teperosi.

The House of Ylmara was a powerful aristocratic family during the Abolgian Dynasty, they saw themselves enter the nobility sometime during the reign of King Charles the Third, but no one is quite sure why or how. As they are not from Oaren, they are mostly mistrusted as outsiders. They are of Luccian ethnicity, natives of the Realm of Rheane. It is said they, the Ylmara, were cast out of Rheane by other Luccian clan families as they were known to have sided with the Ualmordian Dominion in its conquest of the realm of Rheane. In Oaren they remained quiet and seemingly loyal to the crown of Abolgia. When Amadeo's grandfather passed, Amadeo took control of the family, and they rose high into the ranks of the most powerful aristocracy in the realm of Oaren. King Charles (III) himself employed the family as his personal financiers and accountants, especially during any Abolgian proceedings with the Bylazstibian Empire.

With the massacre of the royal family, the slaying of the King, and the seemingly end to the Abolgian Dynasty, many of Oaren were shocked to hear that the Ylmara of all peoples were standing on top of the ashes and bloodshed, unscathed and now more powerful than ever. More mistrust circled this Luccian house, and many attempted to distance themselves from the Ylmara, but the power and prestige of the house of Ylmara tightened its grip around the coffers across the realm, and they soon found themselves with many lords backing their cause. The Ylmara occupy the ancient port city of Dridia, and call it their capital as they declare themselves lords of the land and buy their way to royalty.

The Ylmara found themselves with very few true allies, rumors of allied and supporting lords actively leaving or disengaging in battle to purposefuly watch Ylmaran commanders fall has left the Kingdom weakened. Yet the allure of Ylmaran gold has bought them eyes, ears, and knives all across the realm, and many strange shifts in power have left the Ylmara openings and opportunities the other Kingdoms do not have.
